It’s astounding how much you miss by not looking up. Most of the time, our directional focus is the same from day to day: forward, backward, side-to-side, and sometimes even down. But when was the last time you looked up for no apparent reason? This used to be a common exercise that I practiced while walking down familiar paths. I realized that today was the first time I’d done it in a long while. It was a nice reminder yet again of how important a change in perspective really is.
